Donna takes on a small number of commissions each year — often landscape paintings made for a particular room, sometimes portraits, sometimes something in between. A commissioned work carries the same qualities as her gallery paintings: layered texture, bold colour, and the confidence of a hand that has been drawing with paint for fifty years.
Original paintings currently range from £500 – £3,750. Commissions are quoted individually, based on size and scope.

Donna proposes size, palette and approach, with a written quote and an agreed timeline.

The work is painted at Whitecroft Studio. You follow its progress as the layers build.

Delivery and hanging are arranged — and the painting meets the room it was made for.

A commission begins with the room: how the light moves through it, what already lives there, and what you want to feel when you walk in. The result hangs as if it grew there.
Studio visits can be arranged in Maidenhead, or see works in the online gallery first.

- How much does it cost to commission a painting?
- Each commission is quoted individually by size and scope. As a guide, Donna's original paintings currently range from £500 to £3,750.
- How do I commission a portrait?
- Send a short enquiry with the subject, the size you have in mind and some photographs. Donna will reply personally with a proposal and quote.
- How long does a commission take?
- Usually several weeks from agreed proposal to finished painting, depending on size. A timeline is agreed before work starts.
- Do you take commissions outside Berkshire?
- Yes — Donna paints commissions for clients across the UK and abroad, working from photographs and conversation. Local clients can visit the studio in Maidenhead.
- What style will my commissioned portrait be in?
